Saw,Cannibal and Hostel so one !

Plot :

SCARCE depicts the gruesome fate of three lost snowboarders trapped at an isolated forest cabin owned by two menacing locals who harvest human flesh. As the day of the slaughter nears, they attempt to escape barefoot through the frozen wilderness.

People die, there are guns and knives, a masked monster of a man and an effective ending in this well-shot cannibal ditty. I was very pleased with the entire production, especially the crispness of the film. All of the right colors popped and the film wasn’t one of those oh-so-common indie exercises in how to light a scene. The art direction was unobtrusive and basic, which was all it needed to be for this kind of film, and though some of the acting is a little off-kilter, it’s not gratingly so, and not in any of the parts that truly matter to a horror fan. Overall, this movie which was destined to be a “pass” for me turned into quite the hit, and I’m very glad I wasn’t so dumb as to not give the flick a second chance. Good for me, good for those involved with making Scarce, and good for you, the reading and viewing public, if you treat yourself to this little gem. With a perfect running time of 93 minutes, it’s something that is absolutely appropriate in all of its pacing, and doesn’t drag a bit. It’s definitely worth a view.
So, since I’m done, why not go out and pick up a copy? You’ll dig it.
